Site Prep by others

A storm shelter requires a 7' x 10 hole that    is 40" to 44" deep. If you have chosen the Storm Shelter with the larger door, a 7' x 10' hole that is 10" to 14" deep is required.      The hole should have a base of 6" to 8" of compacted sand.

Additional Note:

Do not paint both the inside and outside of your storm shelter. Concrete must breathe!

Use a good concrete stain.

MAINTENANCE

• Bolts holding the door stops should be removed and coated with Anti-seize every two years.

• Door and secondary hinge should be lifted up and off. The pins should be coated with Anti-seize every year or as needed for free operation. Vent screens should be cleaned or replaced yearly or as needed.

• Pull PVC Grid out. Clean and replace.
